Biography
Professor Ir Denny Ng Kok Sum is Dean, School of Engineering and Technology, Sunway University Malaysia. Prof Ng has published over 250 papers with an h-index of 44. He is active in various professional bodies, which include IChemE, Young Scientist Network – Academy of Sciences Malaysia (YSN-ASM), etc. He is a fellow of IChemE, UK and The Higher Education Academy, UK; Chartered Engineer, Engineering Council, UK; Professional Engineer, Board of Engineers Malaysia; ASEAN Professional Engineer; Vice Chair of YSN-ASM, Chair of Academic Research on Palm Oil Sustainability, etc. With his excellent contributions, he received various international and national recognitions.
Prof. Yadati Narahari is an Honorary Professor at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. His research focuses on applying game theory, mechanism design, and machine learning to problems at the intersection of computer science and economics. Prof. Narahari’s academic journey includes a B.E. in Electrical Communication Engineering in 1982, followed by an M.E. and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Automation in 1984 and 1987, respectively. He joined the faculty of the Department of Computer Science and Automation at IISc in February 1988. He served as Chair of the Department from January 2010 to July 2014 and as Dean of the Division of Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Sciences (EECS) from August 2014 to July 2021. Additionally, he chaired the Office of DIGITS (Digital Campus and Informational Technology Services) from January 2016 to August 2020. Prof. Narahari was a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems (LIDS) at MIT in 1992 and a Visiting Scientist at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in 1997. He is a fellow of IEEE, Indian National Science Academy, Indian Academy of Sciences, Indian National Academy of Engineering, and the National Academy of Sciences. He received the J.C. Bose National Fellowship from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, and the IISc Alumni Award for Research Excellence in Engineering in 2009. In September 2024, he was selected for the Sir M. Visvesvaraya Life Time Achievement award for Senior Scientists from the Government of Karnataka.
Mr. Manjunatha Bachegowda is a visionary Strategic Quality Engineering Leader with over 20 years of excellence in enterprise Data Storage Systems, Linux environments, and cross-platform technologies. With deep expertise in architecting and qualifying mission-critical storage platforms such as PowerMax and PowerPath, he has consistently driven innovation, reliability, and large-scale engineering transformation in complex global environments. A certified Scrum Master and Product Owner, he blends technological depth with strategic leadership — aligning product roadmaps, strengthening release strategies, and building high-performance engineering teams. His proficiency in automation frameworks, quality engineering strategy, and complex systems diagnostics has enabled organizations to deliver predictable, high-impact outcomes in mission-critical domains. Beyond his corporate accomplishments, Mr. Bachegowda serves as an Executive Council Member of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), where he contributes to forward-looking academic reforms, innovation-driven policy initiatives, and stronger industry–academia integration. He firmly believes that education must evolve with changing market dynamics and cultivate leadership, research excellence, entrepreneurial thinking, and policy-level vision among students. Equally committed to social responsibility, he has volunteered extensively in large-scale community development initiatives and public service activities. His contributions reflect his conviction that true leadership is measured not only by professional success but by meaningful societal impact. His mission is to inspire young minds to think beyond limitations — to become innovators, leaders, policymakers, and architects of change in a rapidly transforming world. A technologist, mentor, policymaker, and social contributor — Mr. Manjunatha Bachegowda continues to lead with purpose, integrity, and vision.
Dr. Thamme Gowda is a Senior Research Scientist at Microsoft Translator in Redmond, Washington. He obtained his BE in CS&E from SJCIT (2012), and his MS (2017) and Ph.D. (2022) in Computer Science from the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles. He has worked as a Software Engineer at SimplyPhi (2012-14), a co-founder at Datoin.com
